Melinda completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2015 and completed her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling at Grand Canyon University in May 2021. She is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern and work with clients and families who struggle with substance use disorders. Melinda has worked as a case manager at Central Counties Services MHMR. She has also worked as a Recovery Coach/Addiction Counselor at a Substance Use Facility. Before she started working as a counselor, she was a teacher working with Emotionally Disturbed (ED) students until January 2020. She also has experience with school transportation departments as the special need coordinator/bus driver. She has been working with children/adults for 10+ years.
Melinda has experience in treatment settings including Inpatient mental health/substance abuse treatment center. Melinda services adults and groups in the following areas:

Melinda utilizes a blend Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing age 18 and up.

Melinda has two adult children. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is also active in her local church.
